  • 8 ounces ramen noodles
  • 1/3 cup chopped green onion
  • 1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce or tamari
  • 2 tablespoons chili garlic sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Boil the ramen noodles according to package instructions until tender.
  2. In a saucepan, sauté green onion, ginger, garlic, and oil over medium heat until fragrant (3–5 minutes).
  3. Add soy sauce, chili garlic sauce, sriracha, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes to the saucepan. Whisk together and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  4. Drain noodles and add to the saucepan. Mix well and let simmer together for a few minutes.
  5. Serve hot with optional garnish of green onions or cilantro.
